The U.S. Bank Corporate Payments and Treasury Solutions business line is searching for a highly motivated and self-starting contracts professional to join our Corporate Payments Contracts Management team as an Associate Contract Negotiator. This team supports the sales and relationship management teams in the negotiation of client commercial agreements in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. An Associate Contract Negotiator works closely with clients and other more senior negotiators to provide risk assessments on legal documents and ensure all agreements are complete, meet business line guidelines and duly executed. This role is primarily responsible for contracts management including assisting other contracts staff with document production and contract wrap-up and acting as a liaison with our business development teams. This role will handle negotiations with key business partners and requires both effective contract negotiation skills and a professional communications style and approach.
Basic Qualifications
- Two to three years of experience in contract administration activities
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Thorough knowledge of contract negotiation issues
- Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance
- Proven customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Paralegal experience and/or certification preferred
