North America Technology team within Global Technology is a technology team crafted to be the thought partners and drive the strategy deployment and technology solutions for North America business to meet and exceed the consumer expectations. Within the North America Technology team, NA Operations, Logistics and Corporate Functions Engineering team will partner with NA business and Global and NA Technology teams to unlock and deliver innovation at scale through the strategic development, deployment and management of groundbreaking Supply Chain, Finance and HR capabilities and technologies.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a strong engineering leader in Order management, Order Fulfillment and Inventory which encompasses Consumer and Customer Orders Management, Inventory Availability and Promise and Fulfillment through our distribution and stores network in North America. Someone who can build and feed an impactful engineering team in partnership with multi-functional geography and global teams to scale and deliver high quality capabilities and solutions across our NA distribution network. Most importantly, we are looking for a leader who can build an inclusive work environment and provide the direction and support needed for their team to thrive. The engineering leader will bring strong consumer/digital and customer order management and fulfillment systems with a strong focus on building capabilities and platforms for end-to-end order flow and order management for a large and sophisticated omni-channel ecosystem in North America. Someone who has experience in building fulfillment capabilities with a platform first approach. We are looking for someone who has ability to think big picture while the competence of diving deep into the technical details if need be.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON?

The engineering leader will work on crafting a validated technology strategy for NA Order Management Fulfillment and Inventory systems platform and solutions and help accelerate value creation and modernizing the Order flows and flawless and consistent fulfillment services.

  • Accountable for the engineering and platform building for various omni-channel order flow and fulfillment capabilities across the North America network.
  • Leading globally distributed and diverse teams.
  • Designing and implementing highly scalable distributed applications.
  • Translating strategy to measurable objectives.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH?

The engineering leader will be part of the NA Supply Chain and Corporate Functions Engineering leadership team and work closely with NA Market Place Operations and NA Tech and Global Tech product and engineering teams. The leader will partner closely with NA Tech Product Management, Program Management and Architecture to build and deploy forward looking capabilities while having a sharp focus on modernizing the legacy ecosystem. The leader will collaborate with the Global Order Management and Fulfillment Services teams to build platform capabilities to support North America operations’ needs.

WHAT YOU BRING?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant subject area, or equivalent combination of education and experience and training.
  • 8 years of management experience building and leading impactful software engineering teams in Order Management.
  • 2 years of experience in micro service architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using languages such as Java, Node, or Scala.
  • Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (e.g., Amazon EC2, GCE, Rackspace, Azure etc.)
  • Exposure to NoSQL data stores like Cassandra, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
  • Exposure to relational data stores like MySQL and Oracle.
  • Experience in implementing or integrating with enterprise scale packages like SAP S4, IBM Sterling, Manhattan WMS.
  • Experience in store inventory management and integration is a plus
  • Exposure to technology tools like Splunk, SignalFx, Kafka, etc.
  • Exposure to continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred.

*Remote Work Option – Open to remote work except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $147,500.00 to $321,000.00.  Actual salary will vary based on a candidate’s location, qualifications, skills, and experience
