Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality dialysis care in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.

Monitor patient responses during treatment, identifying and responding to adverse symptoms or complications.

Operate and maintain dialysis machines and other medical equipment following safety and infection control standards.

Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, aftercare, and general health maintenance.

Document patient assessments, procedures, medications, and outcomes accurately using electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Collaborate with physicians, nephrologists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.

Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for patients and staff.

Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.

Support emergency interventions as needed, using current BLS protocols.

Assist in mentoring new nurses or support staff as appropriate.
Qualifications

Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Minimum of 6 months of dialysis nursing experience preferred.

Certification as a Nephrology Nurse (CNN) is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of dialysis equipment, procedures, and safety standards.

Proficiency in electronic health records and healthcare information systems.

Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking abilities.
