Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Associate Systems Engineer or Systems Engineer. The selected candidate for this position will report to the Northrop Grumman Precision Targeting and Protection facility in Apopka, FL.
What You’ll Get To Do:
The new team member will support the design, integration, test, and production of laser/electro-optical, network and communication systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage system requirements.
- Revise and manages both original and revised specification/interface definition document and expedites documents through signature approval process.
- Provide data to risk management (identifies potential risks) and trade study processes.
- Supports system design, data analyses, interface verification, testing, failure/anomaly resolution and mission operations.
- Support the testing and/or evaluation/validation of one or more components of a system or subsystem analytical model or actual system implementation.
- Attend and prepares materials for presentation during System Requirement Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review and System Verification Review.
- Support trade studies, system sensitivity studies, design optimization studies, system performance assessments, system design assessments, mission analysis and timelines and concept of operations development.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment supporting an Integrated Product Team.

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Systems Engineer:
- BS Engineering degree or equivalent STEM degree and a minimum of 6 months related experience.
- US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Process and Procedure writing experience
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools (eg, Cameo)
- Understanding of Statement of Work and other contractual documents

- BS Engineering degree or equivalent STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes
- Experience writing statements of work and estimating project scope.
- Experience in performing failure analysis and driving implementation of robust corrective action.
- Ability to scope and generate product test plans, lead tests as Test Engineer and generate comprehensive test reports for internal and external customer distribution.
- Experience in problem-solving skills
- Good organization skills – Ability to coordinate multiple projects.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present complex technical concepts to project, program, and company management, other technical managers, and customers.
Salary Range: $60,600 USD - $91,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $73,400 USD - $110,000 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
