Job Summary:
Business Operations is responsible for the exciting behind-the-scenes functions that keep the Disneyland Resort and other west coast Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products teams operating effectively. Business Operations is made up of three primary functions:
- Asset Management audits assets in operation and guides the disposition of items removed from service by identifying opportunities to sell, re-use, recycle, and donate retired assets.
- Currency Operations processes all of the Resort’s daily revenue, reconciliation of funds, and prepares deposits for the bank.
- Ticket Fulfillment produces tickets, gift cards, certificates, and other admission and redemption entitlements and prepares them for shipment to individuals, groups, and wholesale clients.
This Associate may support all three Business Operations teams.
This Business Operations associate will provide office and technical support to the Business Operations team. In this role, you may be responsible for a variety of tasks from day-to-day, based upon the function you are assigned to support.
Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase operational supplies and perform goods receipts, within a specified budget.
- Maintain internal documentation, signs, forms, spreadsheets, and websites.
- Conduct physical audits in varied work conditions, including warehouses, kitchens, office buildings, stock rooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Maintain tracking applications and reports to accurately reflect the status of assets and the results of audits.
- Schedule and organize deliveries and pick-ups with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Review and respond to questions about policy and process from other departments via phone, email, and other internal communication tools.
- Collaborate with internal and external project managers, ranging from small office reorganizations to large demolition and installation projects, with a focus on tracking asset status and location throughout the project, and identifying high risk assets and recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Identify, build and implement systems and/or processes to increase efficiency.
- Operate forklift, pallet jacks and other industrial tools and equipment.
- Consolidate and analyze 3rd Party consignment reports, and determine fair market valuation for retail and auction pricing strategies.
- Occasional rigorous physical activity, including safely moving assets that can weigh more than 800 lbs. using specialized equipment.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external partners and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Support Resort Environmentality goals through landfill diversion.
- Actively exhibit Disney’s “The Five Keys”.
- Maintain confidentiality of high-profile and unannounced projects.
- Manage RIM documentation and off-site shipments.
- Maintain external service contracts.
- Document & report out No Strings Attached book usage.
Basic Qualifications:
Strong problem solving skills, with an aptitude for identifying creative solutions
Experience in an environment with an emphasis on internal controls
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills to develop positive, effective relationships with other departments/business partners
Experience with various computer and web based applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SmartSheets, SharePoint, Confluence, SAP, PhotoShop, Illustrator, NiceLabel, and others
Must be able to work a variety of shifts, generally between 6am and 4:30pm, Sunday through Saturday
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing purchases, ideally in SAP
- Experience with graphic design, and/or web design
- Proficient with PowerApps
- Experience in a professional office environment
The pay rate for this role in California is $20.00 to $22.94 per hour.
