Responsibilities

Do you love turning facts into a good story? The 7-Eleven Corporate Communications team is looking for a storyteller with a passion for converting the complex into simple, easy-to-understand communications for a busy audience.  

As an Operations Communications Specialist at 7-Eleven, you’ll connect people across our banner of brands with the messages they need to make the biggest impact on the business. You’ll help drive revenue and collaboration for Operations, Field teams and Franchisees. Together, we’ll inspire and educate our internal teams with clear, concise and upbeat communications that meet the moment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead work that makes an impact. From company culture and digital transformation to product launches and marketing programming support, you’ll make all the difference in how we effectively communicate to internal audiences including employees, Franchisees and stores.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental partners to identify key initiatives, build out messaging, and determine how to best reach our audiences with relevant content.
  • Collaborate with operations support team to determine daily message priorities for Franchisees and Field audiences.
  • Create persuasive storytelling that inspires and educates each audience.
  • Direct email distribution via Poppulo, Zipline and the 7-Eleven Stores App and measure results.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 year degree (public relations, communications, journalism, or business preferred)

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 1+ years

YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: NA

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: NA

  

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong writing skills and persuasive storytelling ability
  • Ability to mine, simplify and customize communications content
  • Previous QSR, Retail or Franchisee experience a plus
  • Experience with Poppulo, Zipline or SharePoint a plus
