WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike’s Global Brand Imaging division is looking for a Designer to help assist daily photographic production and design output at its global flagship studio in Los Angeles. As part of the Brand Imaging creative team, you directly impact the public face of one of the world’s most coveted and recognizable brands! You will be responsible for helping produce the complete catalog of visual assets for an assortment of up to 125,000 products per year, to be featured in product detail pages, seasonal campaigns, and marketing materials across Nike’s website, apps, and social media initiatives. This role represents an unequaled opportunity to remake the sportswear retailing landscape for a passionate Designer.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON The outstanding candidate will have diverse and well-rounded skills across fashion image making for both stills and video, crafting inspirational, modern content while collaborating with a team.

  • Maintaining and evolving GBI style guides.
  • Developing graphic language for seasonal campaigns.
  • Research and development for new GBI initiatives.
  • Assisting Art directors to execute GBI client requests.
  • Partnering with GBI postproduction department to ensure timely asset delivery.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will partner with fellow GBI Designers and Art Directors in addition to GBI’s rotating pool of Photographic and image making talent. The role will be reporting into the GBI Design Director and Senior Creative Director.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic, Architectural or Industrial Design or equivalent combination of education and experience and training.
  • Proven ability to apply and perform design skills, including drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing, and scale, visual presentation development and layout that is supported by a portfolio of non-computer-based creative art and design.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to trends influencing design in general, and the athletic industry specifically.
  • Proficient in Adobe CC, figma and comfortable working within new digital technologies.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills in local market language, including meeting facilitation and presentations.
  • Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, share ideas and develop effective responses.
  • Proven ability to work in a rapidly changing, high-growth environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes.
