Yelp’s Emerging Enterprise team has been growing rapidly since launching in 2021. Over the last decade, after Yelp solidified our business; first with local small businesses, and then second with large national advertisers and brands, the next horizon is to develop our relationships with the blossoming nascent brands that are surging in the marketplace. That’s where Emerging Enterprise comes in.

Emerging Enterprise’s focus is to realize the very untapped runway of this expanding cohort, and to partner with them to provide industry leading digital advertising solutions to fuel their growth plans, while driving new revenue for Yelp. We also work closely with established brands to revitalize their digital advertising strategies as their customer base and consumer behavior evolves. 

As a developing segment for Yelp, we are growing our team. The Emerging Enterprise Account Director will play a key role in contributing to the organization’s sales efforts by developing incremental business opportunities through new customer acquisition and within our existing customers. This is a high-energy, client-facing sales role, with a rare opportunity to help build out Yelp’s next high growth line of business.

Strong candidates will have relevant digital advertising sales experience, a demonstrated track record of exceeding goals, far surpassing quota/revenue targets, be passionate about building, and have the tenacity and resiliency to forge into new horizons.

Where You Come In:

  • Make an impact on Yelp's Emerging Enterprise business, which is a high growth area for Yelp.
  • Work across a territory of strategic clients (and when applicable ad agencies) while prospecting for new accounts that are a strong fit for Yelp’s advertising solutions.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing to renewal.
  • Map client organizations and build relationships with multiple contacts focusing on executives, stakeholders, and advocates/influencers.
  • Research, inquire, and understand clients’ business objectives and challenges and align Yelp’s proven advertising solutions to accomplish their goals.
  • Partner with clients to develop a cohesive strategy utilizing Yelp’s branding & performance ad products.
  • Identify budgets within clients’ organizations tied to their growth or performance goals to drive new revenue opportunities for Yelp.
  • Collaborate with Yelp’s Customer Success and Solutions Analyst teams to ensure strong client experiences and program performance.

What it Takes to Succeed:

  • 4+ years B2B sales experience in Midmarket, National, or Enterprise Sales
  • Digital advertising sales or media sales experience, preferably in paid search, and programmatic/display advertising, DSPs and the ever evolving digital marketplace.
  • Strong track record of exceeding revenue targets and comfortable working with executives and national size brands.
  • Experience prospecting new business and growing networks and contacts across a company.
  • Clear intrinsic ‘why’ for Yelp and this role, and exemplify the Yelp core values.
  • Hustle and an unmatched work ethic to grind. Executive mindset to own your business and that nobody will outwork you.
  • Strong capability with strategic sales, active listening, negotiation, and analysis skills.
  • Strong command of attribution: location visitation, pixel, brand lift reporting to create strong data driven narratives.
  • Fluency engaging with clients via video conference, and in-person with small to large size groups.
  • Excited to travel 30%+ of the time.
