Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | Under general supervision, functions as a leader in a team in preventive maintenance and/or structural trades work. Performs as a working member of the team with expertise in more than one area, provides guidance and instruction or supervision to others, and has responsibility for project completion. In organizations where the multi trades skill is required without the supervisory or leadership responsibility the incumbent must routinely perform duties in two or more trades. Working at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union (the STAMP) provides a unique University experience. The STAMP employs it’s own, small, self-sustaining maintenance staff who manage building systems, provide general maintenance services and support events, meetings, dining operations, retail spaces and multi-recreational areas including a bowling alley, gaming area and a movie theater. Working for the STAMP provides the opportunity to work in an individual unit while also collaborating with other University entities such as University Facilities Management, Residential Facilities and Dining Services. The assigned work schedule for this position is currently Sunday – Thursday 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm. This position may require on call status. |
