The Global Nike Stores Athlete Experience (NAX) team exists to bring inspiration and innovation to our Retail Firstline teammates (store leaders and associates) by reimagining education, training, and professional development! The NAX Learning Experience & Development team is designed to support our Firstline employees in Nike Direct Retail, providing structure and clarity to start strong, get great in-role and grow through experiences to build their Nike careers.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Nike Athlete Experience (NAX) Retail Onboarding Senior Manager will be responsible for driving the retail store onboarding strategy/experience design, content development, curation, design, delivery mediums and training best practices for all Retail Onboarding globally. They will be tasked with the design and implementation of the onboarding experience (0-120 days) for teammates and leaders across the globe – through engaging, informative, experiential, and educational onboarding moments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate individual resourcefulness, and a drive to get things done with a collaborative approach building connections across our Firstline teams, Geo NAX partners and key stakeholders.

You will join a fast-paced team that sets the strategy for onboarding and integrated development for retail employees. This pulls together functional learning, developmental experiences and Nike Inc. learning and development programs, platforms and tools. The role requires someone who has a passion for people development, as well as excellent organization and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. They must be self-driven with a high degree of ownership and have strong relationship building skills. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

We seek a Global Onboarding Program manager who will help build a strategic vision and framework for the end-to-end field onboarding experience; developing, implementing, and socializing a scalable and sustainable global retail onboarding experience that reflects Nike’s focus on innovation, inspiration and service excellence - and by ensuring that every new Firstline teammate and Leader feels valued and empowered to contribute and own their career from the start.

You will ensure that curriculum and experiences are designed, developed, and maintained for onboarding to enable teammates to start strong in their roles across multiple onboarding scenarios:

  • New Store Onboarding
  • New Hire Onboarding
  • Onboarding for promotions (reboarding)
  • Seasonal employee Onboarding
  • New Leader Onboarding

You will develop and implement program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement. You will identify and assess onboarding needs and gaps and implement solutions in support of NAX strategies. You will organize, lead and participate in meetings, workshops, and events to gather perspectives and information to define and evolve Firstline Onboarding.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be the global point person for retail onboarding work partnering closely with NAX Leadership, NAX geography teams, Instructional Designers and Content Writers. You will work with a network of many collaborators and strategic partners to bring together various needs and requirements. You will report to the Learning Experience & Development Director and work closely with various global partners across NAX, HR, L&D, and Talent Management. In addition, you will act as a liaison between global and geography teams with the objective of creating and delivering globally consistent implementations.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or higher; or combination of relevant education, experience and training
  • Prefer Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education, Business, Adult learning, Learning Experience Design, Instructional Design, Communications, English/Writing or a related field
  • Validated work experience with career progression in the field of instructional design, talent development, or performance transformation, including meaningful experience in designing and delivering learning solutions to large organizations across physical and digital environments
  • Previous experience designing and implementing onboarding in a retail environment a plus
  • Human Centered Design experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large projects from conception, through design, development, implementation and evaluation
  • Demonstrated experience relationship-building, creating consensus, influencing and consulting with leaders and key partners, including identifying needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results/recommendations to achieve strategic/operational goals
  • Curiosity and passion for creating exceptional experiences
  • Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence across various leadership levels.
  • Proficiency with Keynote and Microsoft Office products
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
  • A passion for Nike - our product, our brand, and our mission - and most importantly, for our Firstline Athletes & our Consumers
