Job Description Overview:

Reporting to the OPBG Marketing Director, the Paid Media Specialist will play a key role in growing the ASUS brand for our component portfolios (monitors, motherboards, graphics cards, routers, mini PCs, mice, headsets, keyboards, etc.).  He/she will be tasked with executing media buys (broadcast, print, out-of-home, online), landing page testing and optimization, marketing research & analytics, budgeting, and owned media efforts such as email, SMS and SEO. The Paid Media Specialist will also play a critical role in managing eCommerce advertising (Amazon Sponsored Ads, Amazon DSP, Walmart Connect, Criteo RMP, etc.) with a focus on profitable growth in the US and Canadian markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 
 

  • Research marketing opportunities to identify tactics that will help achieve ASUS’ business objectives
  • Create advertising assets and landing pages in coordination with various internal teams
  • Launch, monitor and optimize advertising and landing pages to drive sustainable business growth
  • Lead SEO initiatives including both on-page and off-page optimizations
  • Build strategies for engaging with customers through owned media channels, with the goal of improving customer experiences and increasing each customer’s lifetime value
  • Deploy personalized, targeted messages through various channels to customers to keep them engaged across their lifecycle
  • Analyze results of digital marketing initiatives, making recommendations based on that analysis and championing those recommendations
  • Analyze consumer, competitor and product category trends and insights, making recommendations based on that analysis and championing those recommendations
  • Manage the Marketing budget process, ensuring complete accuracy of budget allocations, maximizing partner funding utilization, controlling overall spend and finalizing allocations by deadlines
  • Work with Accounting team to manage and process vendor invoices, and to update Marketing budget allocations in a timely manner to ensure accurate budget accruals
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes in advertising and ecommerce.

  • A clear understanding of brand marketing strategy and above-the-line advertising tactics
  • Team player with ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and build business partnerships
  • Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to grasp and explain complex situations and issues
  • Strong problem identification and problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to a demanding, rapidly changing work environment and to handle numerous duties, manage budgets, balance ongoing requests, set priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong with numbers and an ability to identify trends and patterns in data
  • Detail-oriented and excellent attention to detail
  • Positive, results-oriented attitude and a love of learning new things
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with design software
  • In-depth knowledge of key components of successful SEO initiatives
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, Google for Work, and project management tools
  • Fluent in English

 Required Qualification:

Years of Education  

  • University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related discipline required

Work Experience

  • 1-3 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in media planning and buying
  • 1-3 years of experience deploying emails and/or SMS marketing programs
  • Experience with ad platforms (Amazon Sponsored Ads, Amazon DSP, Google Ads, Facebook Ad Manager, etc.) and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience in consumer electronics or technology is a strong asset
  • An understanding of gaming and the eSports ecosystem is an asset

Working Conditions:

  • Office Only: Typically works in an office environment
  • Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other office equipment for extended periods of time

$65,000 - $75,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. It does not include bonuses, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D insurance, Paid Time Off, EAP, & 401(k). The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
