Recruitment to the post of Legal Officer – II – 2023

Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission

Applications are invited from existing permanent civil service officers for recruitment on permanent basis for the 10 vacancies in the post of Legal Officer of the Commission.

Conditions of employment :-

• This position is permanent. 
• Contribution to Employees' Provident Fund and Employees' Trust Fund.

Qualifications :-

• Degree in Law (Law or Attorney at law) recognized by the University Grants Commission and one year of work experience in the relevant field after the qualification.
• Age should not exceed 45 years on the date of receipt of applications.
• Must be a person of excellent character.

or a 

• Being a lawyer
• Must have physical and mental fitness to work anywhere in Sri Lanka.

Pay Scale :-

MM 1-1-2016 - (Rs. 53,175-10x1375-15×1910-95,575)

In addition 25% gratuity of basic salary and living expenses allowance are paid.

Recruitment Method :-

Eligible candidates will be selected through a structured interview conducted under the following conditions.

Relevant additional education, professional qualifications

As above qualified candidates are recruited for Law Officer Grade 11. Recruits are subject to a 3-year probationary period, and those who successfully complete the probationary period will be made permanent in the post.

Promotion and other benefits of the post will be done as per the recruitment procedure of the post of Law Officer.
