As a Business Support Associate, you will support a defined region within the Commercial Banking Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries business. This role has multi-disciplined accountabilities and is a combination of managing up to 10 Administrative professionals, management of local event and sponsorship activity for the region, as well as managing projects for both the administrative platform and the business. You will also work closely with colleagues in similar roles to ensure consistency in our business practices. This role reports to the Administrative Manager for the region. 

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of up to 10 Administrative Professionals nationally across one or more LOB’s
  • Partner with Admin Manager and act as a strong partner to the LOB leadership teams to ensure business coverage is appropriately aligned to business priorities 
  • Manage the oversight, training, reporting and governance of all Admin team member execution of local event and sponsorship activity
  • Ensure team members are trained and adept in new responsibilities for events, Catalyst/Salesforce, MS Office support, etc. and providing strong leverage to the business
  • Coordinate Admin recruiting, hiring, training and integration
  • Ensure Admins are fluent in key policies and business practices (i.e., Expense Policy, etc.)
  • Support all facets of the performance management process such as gathering feedback, writing reviews, and recommending annual performance ratings (compensation is not included)

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Strong understanding of the firm and our business practices
  • Experience organizing and executing large scale client events
  • Strong track record in successful relationship building and people, business, and project leadership at both a local and regional level  
  • Recognized motivator and natural leader with exceptional judgment
  • Collaborates effectively at all levels of the organization and ability to lead and influence without having positional authority
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication skills- confident, organized, and clear. Can effectively interact with all organizational levels  
  • Has strong presentations skills and fluency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred qualification, capabilities, and skills

  • Prior management/HR experience preferred but not required, preferably in a large financial services organization. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
