Job Description
Position Summary/Purpose of Position:The Production Program Management Specialist provides assistance to the Operations Department, Production Manager, and Production Coordinators for day-to-day operations of the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center production office. Under general supervision, will perform routine work requiring the application of varied procedures and methods. Will recruit, train, and provide guidance and instruction to students and related casual labor. This position will oversee the coordination and execution of events, and may act as an assistant coordinator to large-scale, complex events. This position supports class and related functions during daytime hours and needs to have the flexibility for evening and weekend work.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelors degree.

 

Experience:
Two years experience in administrative staff work.

Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Elementary knowledge of reference and research methods and techniques used in collecting, compiling, and organizing data and information; of basic methods and techniques used in organizing and conducting studies and analyses or programs, procedures, and organizations; of basic analytical and statistical principles and techniques.
  • Skill in the use of office automation software and its application; in operating manual and automated office equipment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; to present ideas and information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; to perform mathematical computations; to present statistical material in chart and graph form.

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Knowledge of stage management practices and orchestral management
  • Three years of production or administrative experience in the performing arts.
  • General knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment; of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Skill in preparing reports; in operating manual and automated office equipment; in performing mathematical computations; in performing routine clerical tasks.
  • Ability to plan and independently perform specialized tasks; to understand and interpret department policies and procedures; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to follow oral and written instructions; to establish and maintain effective work relationships; to operate personal computers and assigned word processing and spreadsheet software.

Additional Information:Salary range: $41,994 to $42,000, commensurate with experience
