  • Salary Range: $77,946 - $118,932 annually (Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant. A 15% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in New York City or San Francisco, which is subject to change depending on market conditions.).

Sitting at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers near two mountain ranges, our community provides access to year-round outdoor recreation, 300 days of sun a year, more than 200 wineries within a 50-mile radius, and the amenities of large cities just a three-hour drive (or short flight) to Seattle and Portland.

 

This position is a full-time role that offers part-time telework flexibility in the Richland, Washington project office. This position works a 9/80 schedule, with two days in the office and every other Friday off.

 

Position Summary:

As a Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Procurement & Subcontracts audit and compliance activities by maintaining project procedures, policies, and other documentation to ensure the compliance with internal and external requirements. You will also be responsible for analyzing operational problems and taking corrective action as applicable to resolve issues. This role requires daily interface with NS&E corporate personnel and personnel assigned to the WTP Project with respect to compliance activities and resolving compliance matters.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors the flow-down of prime contract requirements into project procedures and approved pro-formas.
  • Prepares revisions to project pro-formas, including legal and commercial terms and conditions and coordinates approval with legal counsel.
  • Prepares revisions to project procedures based on prime contract requirements and maintains approved deviation list against GBU procurement procedures.
  • Monitors the performance of the organization against established requirements.
  • Review commercial and technical data prepared by other departments and input suitable terminology into existing pro-forma and procedures.
  • Review files for compliance with processes and procedures against project procedures.
  • Coordinate and lead self-assessment activities as required to help identify improvements to processes and/or procedures.
  •  Build effective working relationships with project departments, government services and external audit agencies, as required.
  • Working knowledge of Engineering, Construction, and Quality procedures.
  • Ability to identify and interpret requirements inclusive of Federal Acquisition Regulations, NQA1, and applicable Agency Supplements.
  • Understanding of Governmental Contracts and the flow-down of applicable clauses and requirements.
  • Understanding of Cost Accounting Standards, and determination process for applicability to the work.
  • Training or courses of specialized study in related subjects such as business administration, accounting, and law, including Uniform Commercial Code and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) principles.

     

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Law, or related, and at least 3 years of relative work experience OR in lieu of degree, a minimum of 9 years of relative work experience.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
  • Possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
